Intuitive Gifts and How They Work

When you dive into spirituality, the word ‘psychic’ gets thrown around a lot. Psychic, in the sense

that most talk about, refers to the ability to see into the future. These people are usually regarded

highly and sought after by many individuals trying to get an answer to various burning questions.

However, the idea of a psychic has become slightly skewed in today’s society. Psychics are people

who are able to see the world in a different light and have the ability to connect to the spirit realm a

bit better than the average person. While everyone is able to do this to some degree, psychics are

able to tap into these intuitive gifts better. There is a lot that encompasses being a psychic and I can

assure you it’s not just about seeing into the future, but rather getting messages from the universe

and interpreting them in ways so that other people can understand. There are several ways in which

to do this and we will be discussing them here.

The Clairs

Much like in the physical world where we use our physical senses to interact with and understand

the world around us, we also use spiritual senses to interpret messages from the universe and

interact with the spirit and astral realms. The main senses we use are Clairvoyance, Clairaudience,

Clairsentience and Claircognizance. Each of these senses is a tool in which to better help navigate

the spirit and astral realms. Everyone has the ability to develop these gifts and almost everyone is

born with at least one. You may find that if you have multiple senses, you will have a dominant Clair

ability. This just means that when you do psychic work, this will be the easiest one to fall back on if

you do not have the energy to use the others.

Clairvoyance – Clear Seeing

Clairvoyance refers to the ability of seeing into the spirit and astral realms via your mind’s eye or

third eye. This means that those with this ability are more visual when it comes to doing psychic

work. You may find that when engaging with your spirituality it’s easier to think of ideas and

concepts in a visual way as opposed to anything else. Clairvoyance might manifest in being able to

see visions about places, people, or objects, along with the ability to see spirits.

Clairaudience – Clear Hearing

Clairaudience is the ability to hear music, sounds or words in your mind’s voice. You might even be

able to hear spirits directly and have ease of communication. In some cases spirits can make an

audible sound, but to hear it takes a lot of focused energy and practice. People who have this ability

may find it easier to take in information and retain it when it’s spoken out loud. Clairaudience could

manifest in being able to hear messages from the universe or non-descript voices talking to you.

Clairsentience – Clear Feeling

Clairsentience refers to the ability of being able clearly feel the energies around you. You might get a

strong ‘gut feeling’ about something, and may also be really intuitive. This is Clairsentience at work.

You may find that you can easily pick up the vibe of a place, person or object. With the ability of

Clairsentience you are able to pick up emotions and feeling that are being channelled through you

from the universe. These feelings are clearly different from your own and could drain you if you do

not know how to properly use your gift or set boundaries for yourself.

Claircognizance – Clear Knowing

Claircognizance refers to having knowledge you wouldn’t usually have under normal circumstances.

This can manifest in intuitively knowing something about a person, place or object. People who have

this ability are actively pulling knowledge from the universe and allowing it to guide them. Being

Claircognizant requires you to put a lot of trust into spirit and the universe as there is usually no

practical reason as to why you would just ‘know’ something.

In conclusion, working with intuitive gifts can be very fulfilling and useful when conducting psychic

work. With time and practice these gifts can help you develop a greater sense of awareness and

understanding, not just of the spirit or astral realms, but also of yourself. It is also important to

remember not to beat yourself up if you don’t develop these gifts as quickly as you maybe hope you

will. These things take time and practice, and don’t suddenly appear overnight. You just have to

believe in yourself and most importantly don’t give up.
